Dr Petr Jirasek

Dr Petr Jirasek is a dedicated Paediatrician and Paediatric Intensive Care Specialist committed to providing compassionate, high-quality medical care to infants, children, and young people. He focuses on managing acute medical conditions and complex illnesses in high-dependency clinical environments. Working alongside multidisciplinary healthcare teams, Dr Jirasek prioritises patient safety and well-being, delivering evidence-based clinical care tailored to the individual needs of each young patient.

Dr Jirasek earned his Medical Doctorate (MD) degree and subsequently completed advanced specialist training in Paediatrics with a dedicated focus on Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine. In addition to his direct clinical work, he actively engages in paediatric clinical research and multicentre studies aiming to improve outcomes for critically ill children. His research contributions include clinical evaluations of optimal oxygenation strategies, early rehabilitation protocols in intensive care, and protocols designed to reduce catheter-associated infections.
