Dr Perpetual Uke is a dedicated Consultant Rheumatologist who specialises in the comprehensive diagnosis, management, and long-term care of complex joint, bone, and systemic autoimmune conditions. Driven by a compassionate and patient-centred ethos, Dr Uke works closely with individuals experiencing chronic joint pain and inflammatory disorders to alleviate symptoms, restore mobility, and improve overall quality of life. Dr Uke earned her primary medical qualification in Nigeria before moving to the United Kingdom to undertake specialist postgraduate training in Rheumatology. Demonstrating academic excellence throughout her training, she completed a Master of Science in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Clinical Rheumatology with Merit at the University of Manchester, where she was recognised as a top-performing student. She was appointed as a Consultant Rheumatologist in 2019 and continues to contribute actively to medical research, clinical governance, and service optimisation.

Her extensive clinical interest encompasses a broad spectrum of rheumatic diseases, with particular focus on early inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, connective tissue disorders, vasculitis, giant cell arteritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, gout, calcium crystal diseases, and osteoporosis. To ensure precise diagnosis and effective monitoring, Dr Uke utilises advanced diagnostic techniques, including musculoskeletal ultrasound and nailfold capillaroscopy, alongside validated disease activity tools. She is also skilled in therapeutic interventions such as joint aspirations and soft tissue injections to provide targeted relief.
