Dr Paul Fleming

Dr Paul Fleming is an experienced Paediatrician and Consultant Neonatologist who provides compassionate, comprehensive care for infants, young children, and their families. Specialising in child health and newborn care, he is dedicated to supporting the physical growth, health, and developmental well-being of young patients from birth through early childhood. His clinical practice combines evidence-based medicine with clear, empathetic communication, ensuring that parents and carers are fully reassured and informed at every stage of care.

Dr Fleming earned his primary medical qualification at Trinity College Dublin in 2000 before completing specialist training in general paediatrics. He further advanced his expertise through dedicated clinical fellowships in neonatal medicine. Committed to clinical research and academic rigour, Dr Fleming went on to complete a Doctor of Medicine focusing on intestinal permeability alongside a PhD investigating probiotic mechanisms and immune development in premature infants. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

His clinical focus encompasses general paediatric management, neonatal intensive care, and the specialised oversight of preterm and high-risk infants. Dr Fleming has a strong interest in the infant intestinal microbiome, immune system conditioning, neonatal sepsis, and the preventative role of probiotics in conditions such as necrotising enterocolitis. Through individualised treatment strategies, he strives to achieve the best possible long-term outcomes for every child in his care.
