Dr Paraskevi Riga

Dr Paraskevi Riga is a dedicated Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in retinal diseases and complex ocular inflammatory conditions. With extensive expertise in managing both acute and chronic eye disorders, Dr Riga focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care tailored to individual patient needs. Her clinical practice encompasses a broad range of medical retina and inflammatory eye conditions, providing thorough diagnostic assessments and modern therapeutic solutions to help preserve and restore visual function.

Dr Riga earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2009, completing her specialist training in Ophthalmology in 2017. To further refine her clinical expertise, she undertook advanced senior clinical fellowships in medical retina, uveitis, and cataract. She holds the Fellowship of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO), demonstrating her commitment to international standards of excellence and continuous professional development in the field.

In her clinical practice, Dr Riga diagnoses and treats a wide array of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vascular occlusions, central serous chorioretinopathy, pachychoroid spectrum diseases, and inherited retinal disorders. She also manages complex autoimmune, inflammatory, and infectious eye diseases, including uveitis and scleritis. Her clinical management includes administering retinal and macular laser therapies, intravitreal and intraocular injections, as well as managing systemic immunosuppression and biologic therapies.

Beyond her direct clinical work, Dr Riga is actively involved in medical education and clinical research, including clinical trials exploring innovative treatments for retinal and autoimmune eye conditions.
