Mr Panagiotis Papikinos

Mr Panagiotis Papikinos is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Surrey and Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust, where he serves as the lead clinician for andrology and audit lead. Specialising in andrology, men's health and microsurgical varicocelectomy, Mr. Papikinos focuses on conditions such as phimosis (tight foreskin), epididymal cysts, varicoceles, erectile dysfunction, male infertility, testosterone replacement treatment and prostatitis-chronic pelvic pain syndrome. Apart from andrology, Mr Papikinos specialises in female urology and urinary incontinence. His expertise also includes performing general urological procedures with a particular emphasis on prostate cancer diagnosis, prostate surgery for benign enlargement and kidney stones.

Mr. Papikinos underwent extensive specialist training that included 15 months dedicated to genito-urethral reconstruction at Aghia Sophia Children's Hospital. He completed a PhD research project focusing on male fertility following ischaemic testicular injury. Following his entry on the specialist register, he further refined his skills during a two-year andrology fellowship at Guy's Hospital, specialising in andrology, male infertility, and genito-urethral reconstruction.

At Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, Mr. Papikinos has been instrumental in modernising the andrology service to prioritise men's health. He has also pioneered the local anaesthetic transperineal prostate biopsy service and the local anaesthetic intravesical Botox injections service.

Beyond clinical practice, Mr. Papikinos is actively involved in education as an educational and clinical supervisor for urology trainees and Specialist Registrars. He has a strong research background, regularly presenting at national and international conferences, and contributing to advancements in urological care.
