Dr. Ozgur Akbaba

Dr. Ozgur Akbaba is a General Practitioner with extensive experience in both the UK and Turkey. Holding dual qualifications as a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and a Diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH), Dr. Akbaba has been a registered practitioner with the GMC since 2010. He completed his MD with distinction from Uludag University in Turkey in 2003.

Dr. Akbaba’s career spans various roles in general practice and urgent care. Currently, he serves as a private GP at Olive Health & Travel Clinic in Ilford, London. His previous roles include locum positions across the UK, such as at Urgent Care/111 LCW London and Kernow Health CIC in Cornwall. From 2014 to 2019, he was a full-time GP at Besiktas No 3 Surgery in Istanbul, Turkey, and held significant administrative positions, including Deputy Director of the International Patients Department at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital and Director of the hospital’s London office on Harley Street.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Akbaba has contributed to medical research and literature. His publications include studies on acetabular morphology and femur fractures in Hip International and a case report in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He also presented research on public awareness of COPD at the European Respiratory Society Congress. Dr. Akbaba is dedicated to medical education, having been a speaker at the Family Physician Congresses in Turkey for several consecutive years and is committed to ongoing professional development through journals, medical podcasts, and training courses.
