This consultation was amazing, I felt that I was finally being listened to and my concerns taken on board instead of being ignored by my GP practice. This consultation was definitely person centred care.
Really helpful experience. I felt listened to and that the medication prescribed was suited to the symptoms I was having.
Immediately I felt comfortable talking to Dr Ahlund. She was helpful, understanding and clear in her explanations and advice. I came away feeling elated to find someone that genuinely understood me and gave me hope with my menopause journey. After being fobbed off time and again with my local nhs Gp and being put on the wrong medication I now feel I’m doing everything I can to feel better with Dr Ahlund’s help. Can’t recommend enough.
Excellent second appointment, Dr Ahlund understood every symptom, and had an answer to the problem. Talking through what we could change and tweak to get my HRT right. I felt she really understood me personally.
I have struggled to find the correct balance with HRT over the past 5 years or so. With conflicting information from my GP and having to do my own research, I decided to just see a specialist and get some more informative help. Seeing Susanne Ahlund was the right choice. With a few tweaks here and there and a backup plan moving forward, I am confident that the expert help I received at my first consultation will help me feel better in myself, and finally find a HRT regime that will suit me. I would highly recommend seeking help from a Menopause specialist.
After having breast cancer I am unable to have HRT, during chemotherapy my hot flushes continued and my insomnia which I had already suffered from for about 7 years got worse, I also take Anastrozole which I feel makes my symptoms worse. I decided to look into a Dr that specialises in menopause and found Dr Ahlund., I made an appointment at the spire which I didn’t have to wait too long for, Dr Ahlund listened to my problem and came up with options to try, I found her very understanding and kind also had plenty of time for me, i left the clinic feeling I had found some help. The appointment was followed up promptly with an email about my appointment and what route of treatment to try. It’s early days yet but I feel positive I will see improvement soon, I would definitely recommend Norfolk menopause.
My experience with Dr Susanne Ahlund was just what I needed to understand my menapause symptoms. I felt she took time to listen, never felt rushed, and explained everything very clearly. We covered all options and I left feeling confident.
I had a very good recent visit with Dr Ahlund. It has been reassuring to get check ups and have time to talk about my progress. Dr Ahlund was once again very helpful and supportive with advice and next steps with my progress.
Dr Ahlund has been very thorough and understanding with regards to finding the best way forward for me. Dr Ahlund is very kind and makes you feel at ease. I have so much more energy and feel very positive after struggling having gone through an early menopause.
Dr Ahlund has literally changed my life with giving me back the hormones I needed. I’m so greatful for her patience, knowledge and for being so understanding. I always leave feeling like I have a plan moving forward and feeling like I’m being supported, this has made such a difference after feeling alone in my hormonal issues for a long time.
