Dr Niyukta Thakare

Dr Niyukta Thakare is a dedicated Consultant Urologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive medical care for a wide range of urological conditions. Adopting a patient-centred approach, Dr Thakare focuses on creating individualised treatment plans that address each individual's unique health needs with empathy and precision. Her practice combines general urological care with sub-specialised expertise in managing complex functional and structural conditions of the urinary system.

Dr Thakare completed her primary medical degree, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), before pursuing advanced postgraduate surgical training. She earned Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) and completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Urology, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology, FRCS (Urol). To further advance her clinical skills, she completed a Royal College of Surgeons accredited Senior Clinical Fellowship in female and functional urology. Dr Thakare is a member of professional organisations, including the British Association of Urological Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons.

In clinical practice, Dr Thakare focuses on female urology, functional urology, neuro-urology, and reconstructive surgery. Her expertise encompasses the management of complex urinary incontinence, lower urinary tract symptoms, bladder dysfunction, recurrent urinary tract infections, and ureteric disorders. She performs a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including flexible cystoscopy, reconstructive surgical procedures, and stent management.
