Dr Nishanthi Thalayasingam

Dr Nishanthi Thalayasingam is a dedicated Consultant Rheumatologist who provides expert, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide range of joint, bone, and autoimmune conditions. Her clinical focus is centred on delivering accurate diagnoses and compassionate management plans tailored to each individual, helping patients manage chronic symptoms and maintain optimal long-term joint health.

Dr Thalayasingam completed her medical degree at Oxford University, graduating in 2004. She subsequently undertook specialist postgraduate clinical training in Rheumatology in Edinburgh and the North East of England. Demonstrating a strong commitment to medical research and clinical advancement, she was awarded a Clinical Research Fellowship by the Wellcome Trust to investigate B cells in rheumatoid arthritis, leading to the award of a PhD from Newcastle University.

Her primary areas of clinical expertise include inflammatory arthritis and metabolic bone disease.
