Dr Nish Srikantha is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Specialist at The Candover Clinic in Basingstoke. He completed his medical degree at St George's University Hospital London in 2004, followed by his specialist Ophthalmology training in Wessex. He later completed further specialty training during a Glaucoma specialty fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He completed research at King's College London and was awarded a PhD for his work in 2012. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2018 and was appointed as a Consultant at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the same year.

Dr Srikantha has expertise in all aspects of general ophthalmology, with special interests in the surgical management of glaucoma, cataracts and retinal conditions. At the Candover Clinic, he offers expert diagnosis, medical, laser and surgical services including the following:

• Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS)
• Aqueous shunt devices
• Trabeculectomy
• External tube glaucoma drainage devices
• Complex glaucoma and cataract management

Dr Srikantha is passionate about his clinical practice and uses his expertise to help his patients decide the most effective and comfortable option for their condition. He is also a keen educator and uses his knowledge to mentor and support junior doctors in their training.

He has published papers in ophthalmic journals and speaks at international meetings and conferences about advancements in ophthalmology.
