Dr. Nirupa Murugaesu

Dr. Nirupa Murugaesu is an experienced Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in precision oncology and colorectal cancer. Known for her compassionate and evidence-based approach, she provides tailored care designed to deliver the best possible outcomes for individuals facing complex cancer diagnoses. Dr. Murugaesu graduated from UCL Medical School in 2001 before completing her general medical training in London. She subsequently undertook specialist higher training in Medical Oncology and earned a PhD from The Institute of Cancer Research in 2011. Following her doctoral research, she completed a Clinical Lectureship in translational cancer therapeutics at University College London and The Francis Crick Institute, further building her expertise in cancer genetics and innovative therapies.

In addition to her direct clinical care, Dr. Murugaesu holds prominent academic and leadership roles, including serving as an Honorary Senior Lecturer and a Principal Clinician in cancer genomics. Her clinical focus centres on precision medicine, utilising advanced molecular profiling and genomic testing to guide targeted therapies for solid tumours and gastrointestinal malignancies.
