Dr Nikhil Patel

Dr Nikhil Patel is a Consultant Radiologist with extensive expertise in musculoskeletal imaging and diagnostic radiology. Known for his patient-centred approach and commitment to clinical accuracy, Dr Patel works closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide clear, reliable diagnostic insights that guide effective care plans. His primary focus lies in evaluating complex musculoskeletal conditions alongside general diagnostic imaging.

Dr Patel qualified from Barts and The London School of Medicine in 2012, where he also earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Sports and Exercise Medicine. He subsequently completed comprehensive specialty training in general radiology, followed by subspecialty fellowship training in musculoskeletal radiology across London and regional postgraduate deaneries.

In his clinical practice, Dr Patel interprets a wide range of imaging modalities, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound. His technical skill set includes ultrasound-guided procedures as well as general ultrasound assessments, such as abdominal, renal, testicular, and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) scans. Alongside his clinical duties, Dr Patel maintains a strong commitment to medical education, frequently delivering university-level anatomy instruction and contributing to the development of regional radiology courses.
