Dr Nikhil Mirajkar

Dr Nikhil Mirajkar is a Consultant Radiologist specialising in gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary (GI/HPB) imaging. He is based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, one of the UK’s leading academic medical centres.

He graduated in medicine from the University of Birmingham, where he obtained a BMedSc with Honours alongside his MBChB. He later completed specialist radiology training and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. He further developed his subspecialty expertise through an Abdominal Imaging Fellowship at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) in Toronto, a leading international centre for abdominal and oncological imaging.

Clinically, Dr Mirajkar focuses on advanced abdominal imaging of the liver, pancreas, biliary system, and gastrointestinal tract, working closely with multidisciplinary teams managing complex hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal disease.

Alongside his clinical work, he has contributed to academic research, including publications on IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD), and has presented at national and international meetings such as the British Institute of Radiology Annual Meeting (BIR 2024).

He is also Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Labelata, a Swiss-based health technology company focused on medical data segmentation and annotation to support artificial intelligence development in healthcare. Through this role, he bridges clinical radiology and digital health innovation.
