Mr Nick Phillips

My very first experience using private healthcare and I understand now why people choose to subscribe. The whole experience with Dr Nick Philips was priceless. He really understood my pain, showed empathy and a wealth of knowledge regarding my shoulder pain. The cause was explained and also demonstrated to me very clearly along with physical mobility tests. A next step treatment plan was discussed and agreed. At no stage did I feel pressurised to continue privately.

This was the first time I met Nick. He was very friendly and approachable and put me at ease straight away. He listened to what I had to say about my elbow issues and then did a physical examination and then with confidence described to me with the aid of a model what my problem was. He then went through what would happen next, which was an MRI scan to determine the severity of the injury and that the likely treatment which was plasma injections and that he didn't think I would require surgery. I received a letter from Nick on the same day explaining everything he had gone through - which is important as you don't always take everything in during the appointment. I'm am now awaiting my MRI which has been arranged for a week after my consultation. Very happy with the service....

Mr Phillips is very caring as he actively listens to understand the issue and acts with empathy. He is a true “gentleman” and greets you with a smile and puts you at ease. He explains everything and makes it simple to understand.

I found the advice that Nick gave me regarding my shoulder condition to be both constructive and helpful during my initial consultation I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending him accordingly Thank you Nick.

I found it a very pleasant experience . Mr Phillips recommended a cortisone injection in my shoulder . He then proceeded to explain in detail how the procedure works .

Excellent care

Nick is very friendly, charming and welcoming . Doesn’t talk down to you like some consultants have in the past. He explained how the shoulder works in the context of the issues I was having and and carefully listened to my explanation. He took interest in me as a whole person and showed that individual care by appreciating that my normal range of movement is more than others. He also explained the procedure well. May I suggest that in the letter about the procedure please could he mention the type of steroid being used as when I donated blood they needed to know what steroid I had had… odd request perhaps, but it took ages for the blood donation nurse to figure out if I could donate.

Dr. Nick Phillips is an amazing consultant. Despite finding myself in a situation where I was hearing new terms and with english being my second language Dr Phillips took the time to explain everything in details for me and answering my questions. Really grateful with the way I’ve been attended by Dr Phillips.
