Nick Guth is an experienced Physiotherapist at Better - Marylebone, bringing a wealth of experience from both the NHS and private practice. His expertise allows him to assess, plan, and manage the rehabilitation of a diverse range of injuries.
Nick earned his Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University in 2015. During his university years, he demonstrated his commitment to sports-based assessments and rehabilitation by completing a qualification in sports strapping and taping. Nick further honed his skills working as an academy Physiotherapist at Sheffield Wednesday F.C. He also built up a vast array of experience working within the NHS in outpatient clinics, health centres and GP surgeries.
In 2018, Nick relocated to London, seeking to expand his clinical skills and experience. Working in private practice ever since, he has built up strong relationships with orthopaedic consultants, podiatrists, strength and conditioning coachs and personal trainers to ensure his patients are not only supported by himself but he also has a network of clinicians available to optimise their recovery.
Nick's special interests include addressing lower limb injuries, shoulder conditions, surgical and non-surgical ACL rehabilitation, acute injuries, as well as injury prevention using sport-specific reconditioning.

I have been working with Nick for the last 4 months to help rehab a significant hip injury. From initial once a week sessions simply focussed on pain management he worked with me to help manage the ups and downs of the early rehab process. We then moved into strengthening the problem region with a focus on both returning to running pain free and achieving some ambitious long term goals. I am now running again pain free and am starting to build back to full training ahead of the fall marathon season. Nick kept things simple and pragmatic throughout. I particularly appreciated his flexibility and excellent communication. Both helped me manage to get consistent, effective, treatment alongside busy work commitments. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

I worked with Nick from October 2022 to September 2023 in pre and post rehabilitation of an ACL reconstruction with a meniscus tear. Nick took the time to not only understand my goals, but to explain the reason behind certain exercises and pros and cons of an ACL operation in an objective manner. The following months post op (under his support and guidance), my rehab involved strength conditioning and swimming. This support and guidance allowed me to do a 5k and marathon swim, and a half marathon in December 2023 with little to no knee discomfort (as well as improving my shoulder strength). I wouldn't have been able to do any of these things without Nick's targeted, concise, and realistic advice - as well as having a laugh from time to time. I strongly recommend Nick to anyone going through an ACL operation, or other knee related issues.

Nick treated me after a serious calf injury. Nick took the time to explain to me what had happened and what I could expect in relation to recovery. I always felt like Nick had a clear plan for my rehab and everything that he asked me to do was realistic, but always challenging too. I have made a full recovery helped by Nick.

Nick has seen me through my rehab following an ACL reconstruction and I couldn’t have chosen a better physio! He was recommended by the surgeon and I can see why. He’s been very frank on the timelines and given realistic targets for me to hit. I genuinely don’t think I could have got a better physio for my knee rehab.

Nick sorted me out after I had broken my ankle with sensitivity, recognising that I was too busy to undertake a heavy exercise regime and that simplicity and convenience was key. He explained clearly and well and was always pleasant to deal with.

Nick saw me after I broke my foot and helped me though my recuperation. He gave me very good explanation of what was going on mechanically and what we were going to do to get me back to running. And we had a good rapport though out the sessions. It took several months but I’ve been back to normal for over a year now and not had any further problems. Would really recommend him.

I was assigned to Nick for treatment of a long standing shoulder injury. I found him to be extremely knowledgable, experienced and his treatment plan was excellent. He also helped with broader questions I had on prevention and solutions for all of the other niggles and pains I have as a middle aged desk worker who doesn’t stretch enough. I’m sure I will be back to Nick when the next thing pops.

Fantastic. Nick was my physio pre and post ACL reconstruction surgery, and I am so grateful for his exceptional care. I felt strong and prepared going in to surgery thanks to Nick's expertise, encouragement and physio sessions, and I have no doubt that that contributed to a quick and successful recovery. Throughout, Nick has listened to my needs and the care/exercise plan has been tailored to me, my lifestyle and where I want to get back to. 9 months post op, I'm the strongest I have ever been!
