On first meeting with Mr Sullivan I had an idea in my mind as to the type of operation which would suit me. Mr Sullivan explained precisely why this type of procedure would not be suitable and exactly what he would do as an alternative. He was at all times courteous, patient and very informative throughout our first discussion. I again met with Mr Sullivan, both prior to my operation, following the procedure and again 6 weeks later. His patient and informative demeanour never altered throughout our meetings.

I cant recommend Mr Sullivan enough! I have to say he was recommended to me by my osteopath and I'm so pleased that he was able to perform my operation. I recently had a hip replacement at the Nuffield Clifton and he made the whole process so smooth from start to finish. In the initial consultation he explained the process of replacing my hip. He has a lovely bedside manner which feels you with confidence, & nothing is too much trouble. He came to see me on the morning and afternoon of my operation to see how I was feeling and tell me how the operation went. To have any operation you have to put your trust completely in their hands and I felt safe. I need my other hip replaced and wouldn't want it to be done by anyone else but Mr Sullivan. My recovery has been fantastic and most importantly I don't have any pain anymore from my arthritic hip. I've had lots of advice and physio exercises to help with my recovery. He's also supported by a great team, Lydia his Medical Secretary was always kind and very efficient and came back to me quickly with answers to my questions pre-op.

When I first went in for my appointment I was unsure of how it would go, I was a little anxious. Mr Sullivan made me feel at ease and everything was explained so well. He approached me with empathy, kindness and it felt like he knew me before. He made me feel listened to and understood, valued and that I was important. When I left my appointment, I felt comfortable with the decision I would take. All the options and procedure details were explained with clarity. I felt fully informed and that I would have good care. Thank you.

Very clear at explaining the problem and how the injection might help. At the follow up consultation he suggested exercises. He informed me on how to proceed should I need further treatment.

Mr Sullivan took me through the process from start to finish ensuring I was well informed at all times. I felt in safe hands.
4.5
My overall rating is lower as I am experiencing some discomfort in sitting and standing and going up and down steps and steep hills. No sharp pain but constant ache. Am seeing him next week for an update.
