Dr Nathalie Dedieu

Dr Nathalie Dedieu is a dedicated Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist who specialises in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of cardiovascular conditions in infants, children, and young people. With a primary focus on Paediatrics and specialised paediatric heart care, Dr Dedieu provides comprehensive medical attention to young patients presenting with complex congenital heart defects, structural heart disease, and single ventricle physiology. Her patient-centred approach ensures that families receive compassionate, reassuring, and highly expert care throughout every stage of diagnosis and treatment.

Dr Dedieu completed her initial medical education, receiving her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, prior to undertaking higher academic research in cardiovascular imaging. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from King's College London for her doctoral research focused on advanced magnetic resonance techniques in paediatric heart conditions. Dr Dedieu maintains full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practise and holds specialist status in Paediatric Cardiology.

Her areas of clinical interest span a broad range of paediatric heart services, including non-invasive cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), coronary magnetic resonance angiography (CMRA), pre-operative growth and nutritional pathways, and cardiac rehabilitation for young people with congenital heart conditions. Dr Dedieu works closely within multi-disciplinary teams managing complex cases such as transposition of the great arteries, hypoplastic left heart syndrome, and single ventricle heart defects.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Dedieu is involved in research surrounding medical ethics, informed consent in paediatric surgery, and shared decision-making with families. Her holistic philosophy combines advanced diagnostic technology with clear, reassuring communication, empowering parents and young patients to navigate medical care with clarity and reassurance.
