Mr. Muneer Ahmed is a highly esteemed and innovative Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon dedicated to enhancing patient care through the use of minimally invasive techniques tailored for personalised breast cancer management. With a commitment to improving patient experiences, he integrates advanced surgical methods into his practice, ensuring precision and care in each procedure.
Mr. Ahmed's training spans some of the most advanced and comprehensive breast surgical oncology and reconstructive centres across the UK, Europe, and Japan. He received the prestigious Ronald Raven Travelling Fellowship from the British Association of Surgical Oncology (BASO), which allowed him to train in intraoperative ultrasound-guided breast surgery at the Universitario Val d'Hebron in Barcelona, Spain. Additionally, he refined his skills in video-assisted breast surgery (VABS) at the Sanno Medical Centre in Tokyo, Japan. His extensive training culminated with a Training Interface Group (TIG) National Oncoplastic Breast Fellowship at Charing Cross Hospital, London, one of the UK’s leading breast reconstructive units.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Mr. Ahmed holds a PhD in Surgical Oncology from King's College London (Guy’s Hospital). His doctoral research, under the mentorship of Professor Michael Douek, focused on the application of magnetic nanotechnology for lesion localisation in breast cancer. His pioneering work earned him a Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) of England Research Fellowship and an appointment as a Clinical Lecturer at King's College London. During this time, he expanded his expertise in minimally invasive techniques, including magnetic localisation and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) for the treatment of breast lesions. His achievements include winning several accolades, such as the European Society of Surgical Oncology EYSAC Research Fellowship and the RCS Ethicon Travelling Fellowship, enabling further study at the University of Tokyo, Japan.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago after months going through numerous scans, ultrasounds, and biopsies following my annual mammogram. My cancer was actually progressing quite rapidly and I was finally advised to undergo bilateral masectomies by Doctor Ahmed. I was very reassured to know he would be the surgeon who would operate me, given his level of expertise. I have told him a few times already but I am forever grateful to him. When I say this I dont think words can convey the actual level of gratitude I would like to express. I was quite determined to keep my nipples if it was possible and although it is more complex, Dr Ahmed skillfully reconstructed my breasts leaving 2 almost invisible scars under the arms on the side of each breast and my nipples are still there!! It is not easy to learn that you are going to loose your breasts when you're a woman as they're such an important part of your feminine physical identity or at least mine, but I am very thankful to him for taking this element into consideration beside the primary purpose of saving my life. I have now 2 incredibly beautiful breasts at 48 years old!! Since the operation he has been constantly available to answer my questions and concerns. He checked on me weekly, adding me to his already long list of patients. I could go on and on but it would be too long to read. It's now a month after the masectomies and I received the great news that my body is now clear from any sign of cancer. Job done! I am safe and out danger for now. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Mr Ahmed has shown an incredible amount of support and reassurance throughout the consultations, and subsequent surgery and treatment. He is highly skilled, efficient, professional, and always genuinely warm and kind. He managed the different steps of the process proactively and efficiently and always took the time to ensure I fully understood the next steps and had answers to all my questions. He made me feel confident and safe throughout this otherwise overwhelming time and I am grateful for the dedication, time and thoughtful care he has shown me during my treatment. He’s a spectacular consultant and his attention to detail when it came to surgical considerations showed just how much he cares about both the physical and mental wellbeing of his patients. I am grateful and lucky to have Mr Ahmed in my corner and couldn’t recommend him more to others in need of treatment.
I received excellent care from Mr Ahmed and very much appreciated his friendly, calm and professional manner. He put me at my ease and I would definitely recommend him to others going through similar experiences.
Saw Mr Ahmed after finding a lump in my breast. He put me at ease straight away with his calm and friendly manner. He gave a thorough explanation of what he was doing throughout the examination and for his diagnosis. The treatment that followed again was fully explained and thorough, with a follow up booked in. In my experience Mr Ahmed was very conscious of making sure I didn’t leave without a full understanding of my case and very approachable and open to questions which not all consultants are!
Muneer is attentive, gentle and very skilled. He cleared a recurrence of breast cancer in my lymph glands and has supported me with clarity and empathy during the post operative period. He is thorough, informative and kind. I have been grateful and am very impressed
Throughout the process he was always available to respond to my queries and very willing to put my mind at ease with his explanations. Overall I’m very satisfied with my choice of doctor.
Mr Ahmed immediately put me at ease. He is exceedingly professional, listened to my concerns & advised accordingly.
I have been seeing Mr Ahmed for the last 5 years, since being diagnosed with breast cancer up until my recent “all clear” and discharge. Throughout my entire experience Mr Ahmed has been professional at the highest and quite frankly awesome! What was quite a traumatic realisation at the start when first diagnosed, the level of information and procedure provided throughout enabled me (and my partner) to deal with everything in a positive way. I’m sure we would rather not have had to go through what we did, however knowing Mr Ahmed was there and being able to have continuity throughout really helped and I am so totally grateful.
Mr Ahmed was bery professional, explains matters clearly, friendly and caring.
Mr Ahmed is an excellent consultant and I am very grateful for the outstanding care I have received from point of diagnosis through to post surgery.
