Dr Muhammad Imran Yahya

Dr Muhammad Imran Yahya is a highly experienced Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist, providing specialist care at Springfield Hospital while also holding an NHS appointment at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford. After completing his MB BS at the University of Peshawar’s Khyber Medical College in 2007, he went on to achieve Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), further solidifying his expertise in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Dr Yahya has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver conditions. His clinical practice covers common and complex disorders, including dyspepsia, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), nausea, vomiting, dysphagia, eosinophilic oesophagitis, achalasia, Barrett’s oesophagus, peptic ulcer disease and gastrointestinal bleeding. He also provides comprehensive care for small bowel malabsorption disorders, coeliac disease, SIBO, bile acid malabsorption, IBS and inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

His expertise extends to the investigation of gastrointestinal and hepato-pancreato-biliary cancers, abnormal liver function tests, autoimmune liver conditions, and alcohol- or metabolic-related liver disease. Dr Yahya is highly skilled in both diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopy, enabling him to offer accurate, minimally invasive evaluation and treatment. He also supports patients with weight loss investigations, iron-deficiency anaemia, nutritional guidance and refeeding syndrome.
