Ms Jyoti Patel

Ms Jyoti Patel is a Consultant Podiatrist, running clinics in central and northwest London, and at a number of hospitals in Hertfordshire.

She qualified in Podiatric Medicine from the Sussex School of Chiropody in Eastbourne in 1989. Her first NHS role was a Chiropodist & Podiatrist at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, part of the East Herts NHS Trust. When she joined the trust there was no foot care or foot health service. Over a 10 year period she established and developed a reputable service, which included training junior staff in diabetic foot care. Alongside this, she was also part of the Northwest Rheumatology Group, treating patients and training staff. During this time, Ms Patel also gave lectures at the Hertfordshire School of Nursing and gave a number of presentations to various specialities and groups. In 1999 she left this post in order to start a family.

In 2000, Ms Patel returned to podiatry and established a private practice at her home. Here she developed a particular interest in biomechanics, sport injuries, musculoskeletal podiatry, orthotics and mechanical therapy. Subsequently she began working closely with a range of medical and surgical consultants, and this naturally led to invitations to provide her services at private hospitals where these consultants were based. Over time Ms Patel has established and developed a reputable musculoskeletal podiatric practice. She enjoys referrals from Consultants in Orthopaedic, General Surgery, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Physiotherapy and other Physicians and Healthcare Practitioners.
