Emails detailing agreed follow up procedures were all confused. Rectified later in the day. Reading the info on the Urology Partnership beforehand it had lead me to believe i would have the the scan and cystoscopy within the same morning as the appointment. Allowing 3 hours. The Radiology Dept in the Nuffield could not make an appointment for the scan. The Radiologist needs to see the request before - i can expect to hear by phone from them in 4 -5 days. i requested a date before the Cystoscopy (31st July) tho this sounded v. unlikely and woudl rely on the specified radiologist having a cancellation. I felt very well looked after, from the initial consultation with Mr Wiseman, up to and during the procedure and aftercare. He explained everything to me, so that I was comfortable I knew what to expect at every stage. The kidney stone removal led to a lot of pain for a few days afterwards, but I had been expecting this and been given pain relief. Mr Wiseman was available to discuss any questions I had and I was able to get through the recovery very well.

A pleasant experience. I felt listened to and that hasn't happened in a long time. I was impressed that bloods and scans were dealt with on the same day,. The scan was shown to me, and drawings, showing clearly what is happening in my kidney. I was also offered and explained choices of treatments and recommendations made which I will accept. It is such a relief, after having this problem for so long, and I look forward to having it resolved in the near future.
