Mr Evans has spent the time needed with me from our initial consultation through to some procedures and follow up and I have found him to be excellent in his consultancy role with myself. He spends the time needed to explain everything and has also related parts of my illness and treatments in a non-medical way to help me understand my diagnosis. I have total faith in Mr Evans and I find him a gentleman as well as a professional consultant. I would recommend him 100%.

I found Mr Evans to be very approachable, he explained the cause of my problem and ran through the options to resolve the problem in great detail. The operation was successful and I've had a follow up session with Mr Evans to ensure there were no issues after the surgery. Overall I'm very pleased with the experience and have no hesitation recommending Mr Evans to anyone with a similar issue.

I first set eyes on Mr. Martyn Evans whilst doing a web search for Consultants in the field of General Surgery. I came across his resume and was truly impressed by his extensive experience. Also on my list of attributes, was to find a surgeon who was empathetic, and not someone who would see me as just another patient. Delighted with my choice of surgeon, and confident that the whole process, from diagnosis to treatment of bowel cancer would result in a positive outcome, I handed over the mantle of responsibility to Mr. Evans. As someone who has always found it difficult to trust and hand over control to someone else, it was hard, but in doing so has enabled me to heal and move forward. Mr. Evans is articulate, personable and thorough in his approach to all his patients. This statement was supported by a conversation I overheard in the waiting room, prior to my first appointment. Caring and Understanding as well as being up-to-date on current cancer treatments/surgical procedures resulted in an excellent prognosis. He is a consummate professional, who is open to sharing information and giving out the full facts, along with ensuring that his patient have all the details to make an informed decision. This holistic approach, along with ongoing support, has, I am delighted to say, enabled me to get back on with my life, confident in the knowledge that the choice I made was the right one. A truly commendable practitioner. Thank you Mr. Evans for enabling me to move forward, as without out your help, I would be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Knowledgeable, sensitive, understanding and informative. Dr Evans is one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. Extremely professional. I was diagnosed with bowel cancer three years ago and he explained everything to me with plenty of patience, clarity and detail. No questions were left unanswered. I knew I was in the safest hands from the first moment. Before and after the surgical procedure I was treated with utmost professionalism and care. Post-surgery treatment was very detailed and subsequent monitoring has been exceptional. Dr Evans is always ensuring I am well. I don’t think I could have been in better hands. I am truly grateful and I highly recommend him.
