About Mr Indy Sian
Mr Indy S Sian (FRCOphth, Cert LRS) is a Consultant Eye Surgeon at Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton and the Nuffield Health Hospital Taunton. www.indysian.co.uk
Having completed dual training in Ophthalmology and Optometry he undertook advanced specialisation in the medical and surgical management of cataract surgery, complex corneal and external eye disease, corneal transplantation and refractive laser surgery at the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
Mr Sian is certified by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists for Laser and Cataract refractive surgery and holds the Certificate in Laser Refractive Surgery (Cert LRS).
In his role as a NHS Consultant Mr Sian conducts high volume cataract surgery and is the corneal and external eye disease lead clinician receiving referrals from across the region. He is the current South West Peninsula Training Programme Director and is involved in the surgical training of Postgraduate Doctors in Training.
Mr Sian is passionate about improving vision and helping patients reach their visual potential. With his optometric background, knowledge of refraction and postgraduate qualifications in cataract and refractive surgery he is able to discuss and tailor each individuals eye care requirements.

Removal of cataract in right eye. From initial consultation to final "sign off", Mr Sian was caring and attentive. His friendly, professional manner and clear explanations instil confidence and I would readily recommend him to others.
I was extremely impressed with every aspect of my treatment before during and after my procedure with Mr Indy Sian. I do not have any complaints at all.
Mr Sian has since my diagnosis 2 and a half years ago been friendly and professional. I have confidence and trust in him which has reduced my anxiety concerning g 2 major surgeries and regular check ups.
As soon as I met Mr Sian I felt very he is a very Professional and competent practitioner who inspires confidence and demonstrates great care to his patients. He is an extremely reassuring and pleasant man who explained everything thoroughly. This explanation was supported by a very informative booklet. Throughout the procedure he not only kept me fully informed as to what was happening but he treated his nurses with respect, . It feels as if he truly believes in teamwork. After the procedure I was v reassured by his follow up care on the day, the day after and should I have faced any difficulties I feel very certain he would have been there for me. I’m truly grateful for the way I was treated by Mr Sian and thrilled with positive outcome of my cataract operstion.
I had my second cataract removed at Musgrove yesterday. The treatment was excellent from beginning to end and after care with thorough explanations all along the way which is always reassuring.
The hospital staff are very friendly and helpful. Mr Sian is extremely considerate and advises on his actions whilst operating which is reassuring.
Excellent care and communication about procedure. Made to feel relaxed even when really nervous. Can't fault all the medical team I had dealings with. All very attentive.
