Mr. Birdi was very professional and friendly , every time that I spoke with him . He explained all options regarding my surgery and I felt confident to take his advice.
my experience with doctor Birdi was totally positive. there were no delays or long waiting periods, the operation was a complete success (I was back to doing 11 mile walks just 8 weeks later) and my treatment at the clinic during my 4-day stay after the operation was excellant. I would definitely recommend dr Birdi as a physician to anyone. If I should need heart work again it is to him I would definitely turn ed arnoldi
Three months ago I had a triple by pass operation carried out by Mr Birdi and his team, I cannot praise enough the professional and efficient way that the entire procedure was handled. Everything that was going to happen was explained fully in laymans terms that I could understand. Though I experienced discomfort during my recovery I can honestly say that it was not painful. This I believe is a tribute to Mr Birdi and his team both during and after the procedure.
My 70 year old mum was diagnosed with severe mitral valve regurgitation and tricuspid valve regurgitation. We met Dr. Birdi to discuss treatment options. Dr. Birdi was amazing and explained everything in detail. He urgently got various tests done and within a couple of weeks of first meeting him operated on my mum and repaired her valves. My mum was home after a week of surgery and is recovering well. I was very impressed with how easy it was to keep in touch with Dr. Birdi. I had his mobile number and could call him at any time to discuss my mother's condition. Even post surgery I know he will respond if ever I want to discuss my mum with him. He genuinely cares and is very good at what he does. We were very lucky to have come across him. Thank you for saving my mum's life.
I had severe pains in my chest and within a few weeks had to have open-heart surgery. Inserting stents would not work, only a by-pass operation could cure my condition. I was in complete shock and scared. I was then introduced to Mr Birdi, who would be my surgeon. I could not have been in better hands. He put my wife and I at ease by explaining exactly what was happening to me, what surgical procedure I required, and how to improve my health and general well-being post-op. Nothing was too much trouble – he was available at any time if I had further questions. His whole demeanour exuded confidence and I knew that I would be able to trust him with my life. He, personally, came to see my wife straight after my operation to assure her all went well. His compassionate manner did not change after the operation, and I have only heartfelt gratitude at the way he treated me, and my family, from our first meeting to being discharged. I cannot praise Mr Birdi enough – he is an approachable, extremely pleasant and professional gentleman, who is also an exceptional cardiac surgeon.
Mr Birdi is clearly a brilliant surgeon. Equally important from the patient's standpoint is that he has excellent people skills and keeps you informed every step of the way. My double heart bypass operation performed by Mr Birdi went like clockwork. For me this was a huge personal life threatening crisis but Mr Birdi gained my confidence from the outset, spoke with me a lot and turned my crisis into something I was able to manage, get through and then carry on with my life. I am indebted to him.
I had the enormous good fortune to meet Mr Birdi through the recommendation of another doctor when I discovered I needed heart surgery. I could not have done better had I been able to pick him myself. From the first contact to the most recent he has been brilliant. Calm and reassuring, he carefully explained options and made decision making so much simpler. But more than that, it was the personal touch that most impressed me, with regular contact and making himself available when my operation was unexpectedly delayed. His efforts to re-arrange the procedure were obvious and hugely impressive. The operation was completely successful and the post-op care was first class. It was also evident that the nursing staff hold him in high regard, another sign of his consummate professionalism. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Birdi to anyone finding themselves in a similar position, needing a cardio-vascular surgeon.
Testimonial for treatment July 15th 2016 for atrial septal defect - 4.5cm Before The write-up about minimum invasive surgery prompted me to look into the profile of Mr Inderpaul Birdi. We discovered he was the founder of The Keyhole Heart Clinic – which is based in a private specialist wing in the Essex Cardiac Centre - Basildon Hospital, Harley Street Clinic and the Wellington Hospital. After reading up it soon became apparent he had vast experience in the minimum invasive technique compared to traditional open-heart surgery. We were impressed with his immediate response to my initial enquiry – he phoned after just coming out of surgery whereas others failed to respond even after several emails and telephone calls. His first reaction was that he could help me which I found most reassuring. As with most private treatment we discovered there was no waiting and we booked straight away. Furthermore we soon also discovered that he always answered calls when contacted, notwithstanding whether it was day or night. Calls were always returned when stated. After After the operation we discerned a thoroughness which we had noticed soon after our first encounter. His in-depth knowledge of his speciality soon became apparent together with displaying an aptitude to include others in his decision making – all very reassuring. His caring and quietly spoken manner imparted increasing confidence at a very worrying time in my life. He was obviously very much in command and very concerned to give the patient the best treatment and care before and after, his follow up care is outstanding. His main concern all along is your needs. When I considered that the most important organ in the human body was being entrusted to this very honest and unassuming person with such an excellent knowledge it imparted confidence at every step. I would unhesitatingly recommend Mr Birdi both as a person and a highly skilled and qualified heart surgeon - He truly is an incredible man
Mr. Birdi performed mitral valve repair, tricuspid valve repair and left atrial appendage closure on me during a 5 hour operation at Basildon hospital in May. The operation had been delayed by 7 days because I was not told in advance to stop taking anti-coagulant medication. Keyhole surgery was considered too risky in my case because 2 valves needed repair. Surgery was completely successful with no complications and very little pain or discomfort. Mr. Birdi and his team treated me with great respect and made me feel that I was getting special treatment. Totally professional and highly recommended.
I came to england year and half ago for my cardiology examination. I went to a number of different doctors for consultations but Dr Birdi's professionalism and knowledge on the subject was far better than is contemporaries. He opertaed on me and now i am renewed man. I would higly recommed Dr Birdi.
As it became clear that my health situation was more serious than I believed and hoped and I was informed that I needed a CABG, Mr Birdi was there providing reassurance, information and honesty. My operation happened a week later and I would have no hesitation recommending Mr Birdi as his professionalism and bedside manner were first class as was the care from the whole team. I will always be incredibly grateful for everything Mr Birdi has done for me and my family.
Mr.Birdi was recommended by a friend who had experienced great success after complicated heart surgery. I personally have had recent Keyhole Surgery to replace an aortic valve with a cow's valve plus a ByPass at the same time. The procedures have been very successful in that I am no longer breathless and the wounds are all healing satisfactorily. Mr. Birdi has always been very professional and yet has made me feel that he personally cared about his patient and wanted a good outcome. I would recommend him for his personal approach to helping patients and their families manage the stress that comes with a serious health problem and assists in accommodating their personal circumstances.
