Qualifications
I offer a full range of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery including surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures, head and neck surgery, skin cancer surgery, sarcoma surgery and reconstruction.
Following my initial training in Maxillofacial Surgery in Birmingham, I went on to undertake a 12 month fellowship in Adelaide, at the internationally renowned Australian Craniofacial Unit and a further 12 month Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology at The Royal Brisbane Hospital, Queensland. Here I gained advanced training in head and neck surgery and also complex skin cancers. I went on to complete my higher surgical training in Plastic Surgery in Leeds in 1996 and have trained throughout the Yorkshire region.
For the major part of my NHS appointment, I am the Lead Clinician for Sarcoma at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, and I am also Lead Clinician for Plastic Surgery. Carrying out all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, I specialise in oncological surgery and reconstruction, including complex sarcoma surgery. Within my private practice, I offer a full range of cosmetic surgery including facial surgery, aesthetic surgery of the breast, body contouring surgery and non-surgical treatments. I am a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and I am on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council.

Mr. Smith explained everything clearly during the consultation and during the procedure. He was relaxed and friendly as well as very professional.

The whole process, from initial consultation to lesion removal and aftercare, was exceptional. Dr Smith gave clear initial advice. The wound was very neat and has left minimal scarring.

Dr Smith was fantastic from start to finish, He explained everything I needed to know about my procedure and really put my mind at ease and I felt confident going forward with having my surgery.The procedure went well and the before and after care was amazing. My recovery was quick alot quicker than I expected to be fair, I can’t recommend Dr Smith enough and all the staff at Spire hospital it was just a great experience from start to finish.

My experience with Mr Smith was a very positive one, he was very approachable and answered all my questions clearly. I had a few issues after the surgery which was explained fully and the treatment I received was outstanding. If I consider any further procedures he would be my first choice, I would highly recommend him to anyone, his treatment was first class.
