Mr William Townley

Mr William Townley, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, currently works within Guy's and St Thomas's NHS Trust, he also sees private patients within London. He specialises in Cosmetic, Plastic, Reconstructive and Head and Neck Surgery. He has a specific interest in facial aesthetic surgery including rhinoplasty, deep plane facelifts and neck contouring surgery. He has pioneered several novel minimally invasive techniques for facial rejuvenation including short-scar face and neck lifts, fat transfer to the face, 'secret' eyelid bag removal.

Mr Townley began his medical education at the University of Oxford and Cambridge, where he was awarded academic prizes for his work. He then went on to do high Higher Speciality Training in London, Oxford, and Toronto. He also did a research degree during his training, resulting in him being awarded an MD(Res). Throughout his training, he has visited many internationally respected institutions in the USA, Canada, France, and Germany to develop his skills and expertise in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.

Mr Townley has built an impeccable reputation for a surgeon, being seen as an expert internationally for complex facial reconstruction and corrective treatments for facial palsy. His expertise is recognised as he sits on the Medical Advisory Board for the charity Facial Palsy UK. He is also on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery, and a member of the British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
