Are you Thomas Chapman?
Mr Thomas Chapman graduated from Bristol Medical School in 1998. He then completed an additional six years of general surgical training, and then another six years of training in plastic surgery, giving him specialist recognition by the GMC in 2009. In the two years that followed, he undertook highly esteemed surgical fellowships in prestigious centres in London, Nottingham and Italy, supported by a scholarship from the Royal College of Surgeons. Currently, he is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Southmead Hospital in Bristol and Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. He has also gradually built a successful private practice from word-of-mouth recommendation.
Mr Chapman can perform a range of cosmetic and breast procedures, as well as surgery for skin cancer, hand surgery and limb reconstruction. He believes in providing consistent and personal service and adopts a non-judgemental and informal approach that allows him to actively listen to patients' concerns and address them quickly. Mr Chapman has said that he enjoys looking after patients as much as the surgery itself.
Beyond his clinical duties, Mr Chapman is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol – he has over thirty peer-reviewed publications, including contributions to popular medical textbooks. He is regularly invited to speak at numerous national and global conferences and meetings. Additionally, he is involved in the national selection of trainees in plastic surgery and local annual review of trainee competency.
