Mr Sujith Konan

Mr Sujith Konan is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 24 years of experience and a specialist interest in hip and knee surgery. He practises at The Princess Grace Hospital, London Digestive Centre, and The Princess Grace Hospital Outpatients. Alongside his clinical work, he holds the role of Honorary Associate Professor at University College London.

Mr Konan completed his medical and surgical training in the UK, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2006. He went on to complete a postgraduate research degree in Orthopaedic Biomedical Engineering at University College London. He received his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2013.

His training includes prestigious international fellowships in Vancouver, Paris, Dresden, Bern, Munich, Zurich, and the USA. He has received multiple awards and travelling fellowships from respected institutions including the British Orthopaedic Association, British Hip Society, and the Rothman-Ranawat Society.

Mr Konan’s clinical practice encompasses all aspects of hip and knee surgery. This includes joint replacements and revisions, arthroscopy, sports injury reconstructions, robotic-assisted procedures, and complex reconstructive surgeries. He is highly experienced in managing conditions such as hip and knee arthritis, ligament injuries, tendon injuries, meniscal tears, and fractures.

Alongside a busy surgical schedule, he is actively involved in clinical and translational research, with a significant body of published work in orthopaedic journals and textbooks. He regularly presents at national and international conferences and remains committed to improving patient care through both innovation and evidence-based practice.
