I arrived on time and was seen sooner than I expected. I was well received by Mr Konan in his office and we had a conversation about my issue of arthritis on my left knee. He simply asked me if I would like to go for surgery to replace the knee. I said yes. He then placed me on a 3 month waiting waiting list. He asked me if I had any questions. I asked a couple of questions. He answered them and the meeting was over. It was a straightforward meeting. I was satisfied with the consultation.

Attended regarding knee issues following 2020 transplant rt knee and osteoarthritis in left knee. Mr Konan examined the knee and referred to recent X-ray of hips and spine. Mr Konan explained the knee movement I was able to achieve indicated it might be hip issues causing the pains. This was further exhibited in the way I walk which is bent forward. Finally his diagnosis was confirmed by recent X-rays showing significant arthritis present in hips and lower spine. I was sent for new X-rays to establish current status. After seeing the new X-rays which showed no significant deterioration from previous plates he concluded I would need both hips replaced . This he believes will greatly alleviate any pain in knees. At that stage an assessment can be made in regard to the left knee, and a referral be made to the spinal unit in Queens. It was agreed would continue to lose weight having lost 20% over the past year taking Mounjaro. This would greatly assist in all aspects of surgery and recovery Mr Konan will write to my GP.

Mr Konan is so articulated so well spoken that his explanations are crystal clear he is someone that does cure you with words

Mr Konan is an excellent surgeon - the hip operation performed was excellent with a good outcome. My recent visit was for a post operation review which was efficient and demonstrated the good outcome. He also reviewed a new problem and give sound clear advice on the next steps.

My overall experience was very good. I was impressed with how efficiently everything moved along, x-ray to seeing Dr .Konan
