Mr Pasha Nisar

Mr Pasha Nisar FRCS, is a Consultant General, Colorectal and Robotic surgeon at Ashford & St Peter’s NHS Trust, appointed in 2011.

He is a high volume surgeon with expertise in all aspects of bowel disease, proctology, hernia repair, endoscopy and colonoscopy. His focus is on achieving the best clinical outcomes and excellent results for patients. He sees private patients at the Runnymede Hospital Chertsey, Princess Margaret Hospital Windsor, New Victoria Hospital Kingston and Prime Health Clinic Weybridge. He performs robotic surgery at The Lister Hospital Chelsea.

Mr Nisar is an accredited bowel cancer screening endoscopist and regularly performs advanced colonoscopy procedures. He regularly performs robotic and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for complex hernia and bowel conditions such as colorectal cancer, Crohn's and colitis.

He performed the first series of single incision ‘scarless’ operations for colorectal cancer and artificial sphincter implants at the Trust. He is the Clinical Lead for endoscopy at Princess Margaret Hospital and The New Victoria Hospital.

Mr Nisar is an international conference speaker and has published over 50 articles and book chapters. He established the colorectal surgery research programme with Royal Holloway, University of London and supervises PhD studies on genetic biomarkers for colon cancer.

Mr Nisar grew up in Berkshire and attended King’s College School, Wimbledon. He studied medicine at Trinity College, Cambridge University and Addenbrooke’s Hospital, graduating in 1998. He was awarded a doctorate from The University of Nottingham for his thesis at the Academic Surgical Unit. Specialist training was completed in the London Deanery including St George’s, Frimley Park and Royal Surrey Hospitals.

After being awarded the FRCS in 2009, Mr Nisar spent one year at the Cleveland Clinic USA, a world renowned centre of excellence, at the Digestive Disease Institute training under Professor Vic Fazio. He was recipient of the 'Colorectal Surgeon of The Year' award from Global Health and Pharma in 2019.
