Mr Pablo Martinez-Devesa

Mr Martinez-Devesa completed his initial surgical training in London (Royal Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital) and Cambridge (Addenbroke's Hospital). He then completed his specialty training in ENT in Oxford.

Between 2004 and 2006 he expanded his subspecialty experience in Otology and Rhinology/Skull Base in various centres in Europe (Denmark, Austria, Holland, France) and USA.

He was appointed Consultant in Ear Nose and Throat Surgery in Oxford in 2007 and since then he has performed thousands of operations, mainly of complex Otology, Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base procedures.

As a member of the Specialist Training Programme in Oxford he has trained numerous Junior surgeons and Fellows. He is also a member of the British ENT UK, Rhinology and Otology Societies.

Since 2010 he is a core member of the Skull Base Multidisciplinary Team, the Cranio-Facial Trauma Team and the Rhino-Orbital MDTs in Oxford.

Mr Martinez-Devesa continues to carry out research in various fields and written dozens of publications and books. He enjoys teaching in National and International courses, training Juniors and Consultant Surgeons in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and Anterior Skull Base Surgery.

• Otology (Ear diseases): Middle ear disease / Surgery for cholesteatoma / Chronic middle ear infections -mastoid surgery; Diseases of the Balance, Dizziness, Meniere's, Tinnitus, Deafness.
• Rhinology (Nasal disorders): Treatment of Rhinitis and Sinusitis, Treatment of Deviated Nasal Septum (Septoplasty), Sinus procedures incl. Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Image Guided (Navigation) Sinus Surgery, Frontal Drainage Sinus Surgery (Draf 3 / Modified Lothrop) and Balloon Dilatation Sinuplasty;
• Anterior Skull Base Surgery (Repair of CSF leak, Excision of tumours);
• General Adult and Paediatric ENT.
