Mr Omer Baldo

Mr. Omer Baldo completed his basic surgical training at the Yorkshire School of Surgery, and was selected to the Yorkshire Specialist Registrar training programme in Urology, where he was trained in general urology and developed interests in andrology and female urology. His research work investigated the novel theory of erectile dysfunction being an early marker for future cardiovascular diseases. This work was awarded an international prize in 2008 at the 23rd European Association of Urology Congress in Milan.

Mr. Baldo was appointed as a Consultant Urologist at Airedale Foundation Trust in 2013. His clinical practice includes all aspects of general urology including urinary tract infections and kidney stones. He also has a specialist interest in all prostate conditions including benign prostate enlargement and prostate cancer. He offers prostate management including transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), laser prostate surgery (prostatectomy) and Rezum [a technique used for treating lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) presumed to be secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)]. Additionally, he has expertise in andrology (erectile dysfunction and men's health) and female urology (urinary incontinence and recurrent infections).
