About Mr Nikitas Dimopoulos
Mr Nikitas Dimopoulos is a highly experienced Consultant Breast Surgeon, specialising in the full spectrum of symptomatic, screening, and reconstructive breast services. He is particularly skilled in both oncological and oncoplastic procedures, offering advanced surgical care tailored to the individual needs of his patients.
Mr Dimopoulos graduated in Medicine from the University of Patras in 1999 before completing his surgical residency in Athens in 2009. He subsequently undertook higher specialist training in the UK, completing a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery at Imperial College London, St Mary’s Hospital, and the internationally renowned Nightingale and Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention Centre in Manchester.
In 2012, he was appointed Consultant Breast Surgeon at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport, before moving in 2019 to his current post at Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Alongside his clinical practice, he is committed to education and is actively involved in the teaching of medical students from the University of Manchester.
He consults privately at The Christie Private Care and The Wilmslow Hospital, where he provides comprehensive care for both benign and malignant breast conditions, offering a wide range of reconstructive and therapeutic surgical procedures.

I would definitely give Mr Dimopoulos a 10/10! I was very nervous going into my consultation as I've never had to have that kind of examination before and I was worried about what the results may be; however, Mr Dimopoulos very quickly made me feel welcome and heard, and within seconds of our discussion beginning I felt my nerves settle. He was patient and friendly, showing great empathy and understanding for my situation and how I was feeling. Mr Dimopoulos was also very informative and clear about what the examination would consist of and what would happen next. He also made me feel very comfortable to ask questions to further my understanding if I needed to. I couldn't be more thankful to Mr Dimopoulos for seeing me and completing my consultation. He is a very knowledgeable, kind and friendly person with a good sense of humour. This is exactly what I needed when attending what was, quite a scary hospital visit. Thank you so much!
