Mr Niel Kang

Mr Niel Kang is a trauma and orthopedic surgeon and shoulder and elbow specialist in Cambridge , UK. Mr Kang is currently a full time Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Affiliate Assistant Professor for the Clinical School of Medicine at the University of Cambridge.

Mr Kang completed his his training at a  prestigious London orthopaedic training scheme and further then went on to receive further specialist training in Cambridge, In the pursuit of excellence and to equip himself with the most up to date knowledge and skills, Niel Kang has enhanced his skills by learning from world class upper limb experts in Florida, New York at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Mount Sinai Hospital, and centres of excellence in Mumbai, India.

With the aims of continually improving orthopaedic practice and patient outcomes and experience, Niel Kang is collaborating in studies with other experts from orthopaedic centres of excellence. He has numerous peer reviewed publications and presentations on a wide range of orthobiologic, joint replacement, and trauma topics.

Niel Kang is a member of the Orthopaedic Data Evaluation Panel, an international benchmarking agency for Orthopaedic replacement surgery.

Mr Kang has received several national awards during the course of his training and post of Consultant, including British Orthopaedic Association & British Elbow & Shoulder Surgery travelling awards, as well as East of England Trainer of The Year 2019 & shortlisted for National Trainee of The Year 2019.
