Mr Nick Boyce Cam

Mr Nick Boyce Cam is a specialist Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with over 10 years experience at consultant level.  He has a specialist interest in lower limb surgery and currently sees patients privately at the Grosvenor Hospital, Nuffield Chester.  He also holds an NHS post at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he was appointed Consultant in 2014. His practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of knee and hip conditions, with the aim of restoring function and relieving pain through personalised care.

Mr Boyce Cam graduated from the University of Leeds in 2000 with honours in surgery. He completed his higher surgical orthopaedic training in Yorkshire and gained further experience working in Australia and New Zealand. He has completed three sub-specialist fellowships with a focus on hip and knee surgery, including joint preservation techniques and complex joint replacement procedures.  He has held senior management positions including Clinical Lead for the Orthopaedic department during the Covid pandemic from 2020-24.

His specialist areas of interest include hip replacement, partial and total knee replacement, revision knee surgery, knee ligament reconstruction, patella instability, and the treatment of sports injuries and meniscal tears. He routinely performs procedures such as arthroscopy, chondroplasty, and bone grafting, and tailors each treatment plan to the needs of the individual patient.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Boyce Cam has published research in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of several professional organisations including the General Medical Council, the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Association of Knee Surgery, the British Hip Society, and the Higher Education Academy.
