About Mr Nick Boyce Cam
Mr Nick Boyce Cam is a specialist Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with over 10 years experience at consultant level. He has a specialist interest in lower limb surgery and currently sees patients privately at the Grosvenor Hospital, Nuffield Chester. He also holds an NHS post at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he was appointed Consultant in 2014. His practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of knee and hip conditions, with the aim of restoring function and relieving pain through personalised care.
Mr Boyce Cam graduated from the University of Leeds in 2000 with honours in surgery. He completed his higher surgical orthopaedic training in Yorkshire and gained further experience working in Australia and New Zealand. He has completed three sub-specialist fellowships with a focus on hip and knee surgery, including joint preservation techniques and complex joint replacement procedures. He has held senior management positions including Clinical Lead for the Orthopaedic department during the Covid pandemic from 2020-24.
His specialist areas of interest include hip replacement, partial and total knee replacement, revision knee surgery, knee ligament reconstruction, patella instability, and the treatment of sports injuries and meniscal tears. He routinely performs procedures such as arthroscopy, chondroplasty, and bone grafting, and tailors each treatment plan to the needs of the individual patient.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Boyce Cam has published research in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of several professional organisations including the General Medical Council, the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Association of Knee Surgery, the British Hip Society, and the Higher Education Academy.

I am thrilled with the results of my recent knee replacement which was carried out by Mr Boyce Cam. I cannot thank him and his team enough. It has been an excellent experience throughout and I consider myself very fortunate. After the operation, I was able to resume normal activity very quickly and have not experienced any significant pain at all. Over the last few weeks my knee has been thoroughly ‘tested’ with long beach walks and extensive walking over rough ground with no problems at all. A huge difference to me is that, prior to the operation, my knee was bowed inward but now this has been corrected and I have a lovely straight leg! I am also able to walk up and down stairs correctly which I had not been able to do for a couple of years. I am so grateful to Mr Boyce Cam for his professionalism, wonderful expertise and care. At all points he gave me all the information I asked for and I was encouraged to ask questions.
Very relaxed atmosphere in the theatre mr Boyce Cam and all his colleagues were very friendly and professional made me feel very much at ease. The operation of a knee replacement went really well with fantastic care given at Leighton Hospital staff were exceptional so friendly the care I received was second to none having had both knees replaced by Mr Boyce Cam a year apart they have both been a great success I would not hesitate to tell anyone to have this operation it has given me a pain free life with great mobility but I highly recommend Mr Boyce Cam not only a superb surgeon but a very nice gentleman Thank you Mr Boyce Cam

Mr Nick Boyce Cam performed a successful Total Knee Replacement, on my right leg, on the 1st December 2025, at the Nuffield Grosvenor Hospital, Chester. From the initial consultation and throughout the process Mr Nick Boyce Cam was very approachable and attentive. He answered all my questions and addressed my concerns in such a way, that I felt well informed and confident going in for the surgery. The surgery was successful and the scar was both neat and minimal. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Nick Boyce Cam as a highly talented orthopaedic surgeon.
