Mr Michael Stafford

Mr Michael Stafford is a Consultant Gynaecologist specialising in Urogynaecology. He graduated with his medical degree from the Medical College of St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College in 1986 and became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1993 and an MD in 1998.

In 2000, he was appointed as Consultant Gynaecologist at the prestigious Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London. At this hospital he currently holds the position of Chairman of the Hospital Medical Staff Committee as well as Lead Consultant for Urogynaecology and TOP services.

In addition to his specialist expertise in urogynaecology, Mr Stafford has vast expertise in other subspecialist areas, including general gynaecology and the treatment of bladder pain and complex benign gynaecology. He also has expertise in a number of procedures, including: laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, dilation and curettage, cystoscopy, vaginal hysterectomy and colposuspension.

Mr Stafford has a passion for research and education and has written several papers surrounding topics in his area of expertise, including general gynaecology, colposcopy and urogynaecology. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals.

He actively educates junior doctors and other medical professionals and is an undergraduate examiner and selector for Imperial College London.
