Mr Mark Peterson

Mr Mark Peterson is a Consultant General Surgeon based in Sheffield. He specialises in HPB (liver, pancreas and biliary) surgery, as well as laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery. Having been a consultant for over 15 years, he has significant clinical experience in managing a range of HPB pathologies. He treats conditions including gallstone disease, hernias, and cancers of the liver, pancreas and biliary tree. He offers a variety of surgical procedures to treat these conditions, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), laparoscopic and open hernia repair, and laparoscopic bile duct exploration.

Mr Peterson obtained his degree in medicine in 1991 from the University of Leicester, and since then has worked in multiple hospitals across the Midlands and Yorkshire. With his clinical expertise, he has undertaken numerous leadership roles, including being the lead clinician for the regional ERCP unit. Additionally, he acts as the Multi-Disciplinary Team lead for liver and pancreatic cancer for the South Yorkshire Region. These positions reflect his dedication to his work, and high level of experience in his field.
