Mr Mark Blackman

Mr Mark Blackman is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in spinal surgery. His current area of interest is the use of minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of lumbar spine disorders. Mr Blackman completed his undergraduate training at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, and also achieved a degree in Pharmacology from Kings College. He went on to specialise in spinal surgery, gaining experience in surgery for spinal deformities, paediatric spinal problems, degenerative spinal conditions, and spinal injuries. He was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Essex Rivers NHS Trust and has since developed extensive ecperience at Colchester General and The Oaks Hospital, specialising in degenerative cervical disorders, thoraco-lumbar and lumbar spine degenerative problems.
