Mr Kenneth Metcalf

Mr Kenneth Metcalf is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and the Royal College of Surgeons. Mr Metcalf also holds an MD Research Doctorate, awarded for their research in relation to ovarian cancer at Imperial Cancer Research. He has also undertaken additional postgraduate fellowship programmes in gynaecological surgery in both England and Australia. Mr Metcalf is an RCOG registered and accredited specialist surgeon for the management of gynaecological cancer.

He Undertakes assessment and surgical management of all forms of gynaecological cancer and is a core member of the University of Southampton multidisciplinary team (MDT) where cases are subject to multidisciplinary clinical review on a weekly basis.

Mr Metcalf is an accredited colposcopist, registered with the BSCCP and undertakes cervix screening and the management of cervix problems. His two weekly colopscopy clinics at Wessex Nuffield Hospital also allow for assessment and management of vulval skin problems.

He also consults on a wide variety of general gynaecological problems including abnormal vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, fibroids, ovarian cysts and menopause issues.

In his surgical practice he has wide experience with minimal access (keyhole / laparoscopic) approaches alongside open surgeries where indicated.

Mr Metcalf is a Founding Partner at Gynaechoice. This is a multi disciplinary gynaecological private practice based at Wessex Nuffield Hospital over the last 20y which provides a complete spectrum of specialist advice for all gynaecology issues.
