Mr Mehta is a full time spine surgeon. His practice included adult and children. He has completed 2 spinal fellowships in Bristol and Columbia, Missouri. His practice includes scoliosis surgery, growing spine surgery, correction of kyphosis, correction of adult spinal deformities, surgery for degenerative spinal conditions including decompression sand fusions. He also deals with spinal problems in sports persons, including elite athletes, cricketers and footballers.
His research spectrum includes publications in peer-reviewed journals, invited chapters, editorial commitments for high impact factor journals, serving as an expert on the National Research Ethics Committee as an expert, serving on steering committees of the Scoliosis Research Society (www.srs.org), and is actively involved with several research projects through the Paediatric Spine Study Group, European Spine Study Group, International Spine Study Group and the Department of Biomechanics at the University of Toledo, Ohio, USA.
His NHS base is the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital where he also serves as the Paediatric Safeguarding Lead. He also works at the Birmingham Childrens Hospital. His private practices are based at BMI The Priory Hospital, Spire Parkway Hospital and the Bromsgrove Private Clinic each with weekly clinics.

Mr Mehta was very easy to converse with and explained things well.

Really horrible experience. I had gone private and really really poor service from Mr Mehta's support staff specifically his secretary. Post my initial consultation I had to send multiple emails and call multiple times to get an update on my MRI referral. Mr Mehta's secretary only once answered my call only to say she would call me back but did not. As a result I had to change my consultant and restart the process. Waste of time and money. Would never recommend his services not because he isn't a good doctor but because his support staff is very incompetent.

My daughter has scoliosis and after doing some research I contacted Dr Mehta’s office. The whole process from booking and having an x-ray and meeting Dr Mehta was seamless and very quick. He gave a very thorough consultation and explained my daughter’s condition and different treatment options. My overall experience was excellent.

Excellent from initial consultation through to procedure, very thorough explanation of the process and a full open discussion explaining all options in detail. The procedure was an absolute successes and I feel better than I have done for many years, highly recommended

It took many calls and several emails over 2 months to get an initial response from my referral . My appointment lasted less than 10 minutes and I was told i was being referred for an MRI but given no detail as to exactly what was going to be looked at. Over 2 weeks since my appointment and still no details regarding my MRI or even when or where it will be - despite a number of emails chasing.

Very poor so far, late to appointments, checks mobiles messages whilst with patients, totally unprofessional
