About Dr Gurjit Bhogal
Dr Gurjit Bhogal is a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine appointed to the Centre of Musculoskeletal Medicine at Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham in 2015. He has an interest in the non-surgical management of a wide range of musculoskeletal and sports injuries.
He is a Team doctor for the England Women's Cricket Team and Chief Medical Officer of Warwickshire County Cricket Club. He worked previously as team doctor for the England Men's Cricket Team between 2012 and 2021, including being appointed as Lead Physician for the England Men's Cricket Team. He was also appointed as the Chief Medical Officer for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy and the highly successful 2019 Cricket World Cup.
Between 2015 and 2023, he was First team and Lead Academy doctor for Aston Villa Football Club. He has also previously acted as physician for the English Institute of Sport, British Triathlon Federation, Worcester Wolves Basketball team, Kidderminster Harriers FC, Worcestershire County Cricket Club, Worcester Warriors Rugby Club and Bristol Bears Rugby Club.

After so many disappointing experiences with the NHS, I decided to go ahead with Bupa, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I cannot praise Dr Gurjit enough. He is incredibly calm, caring, and professional. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, making sure you understand your condition and treatment options. His manner is so reassuring that you genuinely feel better just by talking to him and seeing how much he cares about his patients. I know that private healthcare is not the cheapest option, and it’s a shame that not everyone has access to this level of care and attention. I feel very fortunate to have been treated by such an outstanding doctor. Thank you so much, Dr Gurjit, for your kindness, expertise, and exceptional care.

The discussion was clear and open and everything was explained , consultant also asked what I want out of the consultation which no one has ever asked me before. The appointment was easy to access and the location was easy to find with ample parking
