Dr Gurjit Bhogal

I had a very positive experience with Dr Bhogal. I travelled a long way for this appointment and was understandably quite nervous beforehand due to some difficult experiences with previous healthcare appointments, but I left feeling genuinely listened to, reassured and hopeful. I had prepared a written summary because of my dyslexia and brain fog, and Dr Bhogal was very supportive of this. He took the time to go through it carefully, asked thoughtful questions and gave me plenty of opportunity to explain how my symptoms affect my day-to-day life. I never felt rushed or dismissed. What particularly stood out to me was how much he looked at the bigger picture. Rather than focusing on one isolated area or simply attributing everything to chronic pain, he considered the biomechanical aspects, my longstanding iron deficiency, my energy levels and how these factors may affect my ability to engage with rehabilitation and exercise. He also suggested several avenues that I had not specifically asked about, including haematology, podiatry and pain management, and mentioned colleagues who may be able to help. This made me feel that he was genuinely thinking about my recovery and long-term function. The physical assessment was thorough and professional. A chaperone was brought in without me having to request one, and I felt safe and respected throughout. He explained what he wanted to assess and checked that I was comfortable before examining me. After being let down by A&E in Redditch, I felt so relieved that someone actually took time and genuinely cared for my welfare . Dr Bhogal was professional, supportive & couldn’t do or say enough to Support me . Very thorough with his examination & I left knowing I was in good hands .

The consultation and the explanation of test results was very clear and thorough. Dr Bhogal seemed genuinely interested in finding a solution to my problems and talked through all possibilities and next steps clearly.

I attended my appointment along either my wife. We were in a confused state and not sure what was the issue, Doctor made us very comfortable in understanding the issue and his explanations were clear and made sure we are receiving his comments.
