Having been under the care of Dr Nicholl in the past, i knew i would be in good hands. Couldn't fault any aspect in the care i had received.
Welcoming, reassuring, efficient, very professional & caring. Great attention to detail leaving no possibility for error or miscommunication. All nurses were exceedingly efficient & personable creating a calm & efficient pre & post op environment for me the patient. Particular credit to Fatima & Angie. Naturally I was particularly impressed with the surgical skills of Mr. James Nicholl who gently talked to me through the procedure under LA with the caring professionalism that can often be lacking in some surgeons! Thank you James. I couldn’t have hoped for better care.
Mr Nicholl was reassuring about the progress of my thumb and suggested physiotherapy. I would have liked to known earlier that this was standard practice after a CMC joint replacement operation. It wasn't mentioned until 27 days after the surgery, which I found rather strange.
Cannot find fault. Mr Nichols was friendly and very approachable and explained things in layman’s terms
From the very first appointment with Mr Nicholl he set my mind at ease with regard to my problem, and and gave me a very clear on options as to how to resolve it.
He explained everything clearly and made sure that I understood it.
This was a follow up visit with Mr Nicholl in which we discussed what further treatment for my hand condition would be advisable, if I wished to proceed. I felt confident in Mr Nicholl's diagnosis and reassured by his full explanation of what further steps could be taken. He exhibited an extensive knowledge and skill base for what remedies he could assist me with. I was very satisfied in every way with this follow up visit.

Thank you for your kind review, and I'm pleased you are happy with the options presented to you
I underwent a steroid guided injection in my wrist, Dr Nicholl explained everything that he was doing and kept me very calm and relaxed.

Thank you for your kind review. I'm glad you found the procedure okay and I hope it helps your symptoms
Perhaps a bit more info on exercise for the had during healing
I have worked alongside Mr Nicholl now for 15yrs as a consultant colleague. He has an excellent bed-side manner and is a highly-skilled and experienced hand surgeon. He has also personally treated me for a hand injury I sustained and I had a superb outcome, gaining full function back.
