Mr Jim McConway

Mr James McConway is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Ulster Hospital Dundonald and Musgrave Hospital Belfast. He specialises in shoulder and elbow surgery and he has a special interest in shoulder replacement, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic subacromial decompression and acromioclavicular joint excision, shoulder stabilisation, shoulder labral repair, clavicle fixation, tennis/golfer's elbow treatment, carpal and cubital tunnel release, and radial head excision. Mr McConway completed his undergraduate training at Queen's University Belfast and he trained in trauma and orthopaedics in Northern Ireland. He spend 18 months in full-time research sponsored by the Belfast Arthroplasty Research Trust. Mr McConway has also completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery in Scotland's tertiary referral centre for shoulder and elbow in Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
