Mr Mayne carried out a meniscus repair on my knee. The surgery was successful and completed very quickly after my review appointment with him which enabled me to go on a cycling holiday which was pre booked. He fully explained the procedure and the recovery process and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who is looking for a surgeon to complete this procedure.

My appointment was a 3 month post op check up atfter total hip replacement. Mr Mayne showed me the before and after X-rays. He conducted a thorough examination of my hip. We discussed exercise and I enjoy swimming. Me Mayne was very pleased with my progress and cleared me to swim. He is a real gentleman with incredible patience, professionalism and a confident communicator.

In advance of the procedure there was a discussion on matters which tend to cause anxiety. My anxiety was the level of pain post op and how to control the pain. I was given clear advice and I followed everything as advised from medication to use of the ice packs and I have done the exercises as suggested. I am now at the start of day four and am happy to say, on a scale of 1 - 10 1 would rate my worst pain at 1 - 2. I hope this continues throughout the remaining recovery period.
