Mr Jagmohan Chawla

Mr Jagmohan Chawla is an experienced ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon. He completed his medical degree in 1978 in India, and has been a consultant ophthalmologist for over 25 years, making him among the most experienced consultants his his field. He holds Fellowships in Ophthalmology from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, The Royal College of Ophthalmologists and The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

He is based at Eye Clinic at Westland Medical Centre, Hornchurch; Spire Hartswood Hospital Brentwood.

Mr Chawla has specialised in Lens replacement surgery and cataract surgery with multifocal, extended depth of focus and toric intraocular lens implants for reduced dependence on spectacles.

He is highly experienced in oculoplastic radio-frequency surgery to tackle droopy eyelids, baggy eyelids, removal of benign and cancerous lesions on eyelids and face, Malposition of eyelids, misdirected lashes, watering eyes and Botox treatments for blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm and cosmetic indications.

At his clinic in Westland Medical Centre, Mr Chawla manages Glaucoma and has state of the art diagnostic facilities along with Argon laser for managing diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein blocks, retinal tears; YAG laser for posterior capsular opacification and iridotomy for glaucoma; Blephex and TIXEL therapies for dry eyes and blepharitis.
