Mr Hasan Ahmed is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 16 years of specialist experience in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. He is based in London and Brentwood, UK and currently practices at the following private hospitals:

Mr Ahmed obtained his medical degree from the University of Punjab, Pakistan in 1987. He then became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993. He later obtained his Master's degree in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1997 at the University of Liverpool.

He completed his Intercollegiate Speciality Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2001 and was registered as a Specialist in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery by the GMC in 2005.

Mr Ahmed specialises in hand, wrist, shoulder and elbow surgery and typically sees patients with a range of hand, wrist, shoulder and elbow conditions, including:

• Rugby injuries
• Tennis elbow
• Nerve compression
• Frozen shoulder
• Shoulder, tibia and wrist fractures
• Degenerative elbow disorders (e.g. osteoarthritis)
• Carpal tunnel syndrome
• Shoulder and elbow pain

He performs a range of orthopaedic and trauma procedures including arthroscopic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, shoulder stabilisation and resurfacing and fracture fixation surgery.

Mr Ahmed has pioneered research surrounding laparoscopic techniques for shoulder fracture fixation and has presented his work at conferences both nationally and internationally. He has also published several research papers in renowned peer-reviewed journals in other areas of trauma and orthopaedics.

Mr Ahmed was selected by LOCOG as a member of the shoulder and elbow specialist team for the London Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.
