Mr Giles Hellawell

Mr Giles Hellawell is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Northwick Park and St. Mark's Hospital and at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He obtained his medical degree from Oxford University in 1994 and then trained in general urology. Mr Hellawell undertook specialist training in laparoscopic oncology at Imperial College, London, and at the Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne, Australia. He also completed a laparoscopic radical prostatectomy fellowship in Germany, at the University of Leipzig.

Mr Hellawell assesses patients with a range of urology conditions and provides a complete general urology service. He subspecialises in urological oncology treatment and is an expert in pelvic oncology laparoscopy (laparoscopic radical prostatectomy and radical cystectomy) and upper tract laparoscopy (laparoscopic nephrectomy).

Mr Hellawell is actively involved in research and has authored numerous journal and textbook articles on prostate cancer and laparoscopic surgery.
