Mr Gui treated me with outstanding care, concern, and professionalism throughout my mastectomy and ALND procedures. From the moment I came under his care, after an inauspicious start with another surgeon, I felt confident that all my concerns and best interests were being effectively managed. He explained the options and possible outcomes with clarity and patience and dealt with my natural anxieties with empathy and kindness. Quite apart from his soft skills, Mr Gui"s professional expertise as an excellent surgeon is clearly demonstrated by the results of my two operations where trauma has been minimized and aesthetic as well as surgical imperatives have been delivered to the highest standard. Mr Gui has created an equally excellent support team whose members reinforce the atmosphere of outstanding personal care and professional competence that me feel genuinely supported throughout a deeply stressful period.

From my first visit to Mr Gui (following my NHS breast cancer diagnosis and wanting a second opinion), I have felt confident that I’m “in the best hands possible”. Mr Gui was recommend by a dear friend, and from the moment I was lucky enough to meet him - I knew I didn’t want anyone else handling my care. I placed my trust in him completely - and am so grateful I did. At every touch point with Mr Gui and his team, I have felt gratitude for the excellence of care, professionalism and kindness received (and still receiving as part of ongoing treatment). Mr Gui’s professional “style” has been exactly what I have needed at every stage of my journey: professional (un- dramatic), understandable (succinct and always “layman’s terms”) and clear (in terms of the options available to me, and his suggested way forward). I have felt able to summarize each meeting with him to my family abroad (anxious for being so far away), clear in the facts relating to my personal situation, confident in decisions made, and in especially in the team I have chosen behind me (Mr Gui and his fellow experts). In his care we responded faster than I would otherwise have been seen, and with authority - meaning my future prospects have been good / positive, and the best outcome I could have hoped for. He has gone above and beyond for me (as have his team), operating on the weekend and popping in late to see me following my surgery.
