As with all my previous consultations, with Mr Yates at the Highfield, I was treated in a highly professional, caring manner. All my questions were answered in a way that I understood and I felt totally at my ease.
1st class service could not have been looked after any better
Being a slightly high risk patient, it was important to me to feel that my consultant had my best interests at heart. My concerns were allayed upon meeting and working with Mr Yates over a six month period.
Mr Yates, arranged for my X-ray for the same day as my initial consultation and talked over his findings on day 1. He arranged for an MRI to follow to where he referred me to a more suitable colleague of his who specialised in my specific problem. I was really happy that Mr Yates looked out for my best interests through my experience with him.
Edward was fantastic. He took the time to understand my background, what the problem was and how I would like treatment to proceed. He was always on time and I never felt rushed, just heard.
Superb treatment from start to finish very detailed assessment of my condition delivered in a thoroughly professional and fantastic manner.
I attended The Spire in Macclesfield this morning for an 8 week post op hip replacement appointment with Mr Yates … what a pleasure … he was his usual confident and competent self putting me totally at ease explaining in detail how I should proceed … obviously with care but it’s back to golf as soon as the weather improves together with my love of working in the garden.
From the first meeting with Mr Yates it was positive and he arranged Right hip replacement. The procedure was explained and booked for 20th November. The operation went well and I was back on my feet later in the day with a walker. Physio followed. I was kept in hospital for 2 nights then allowed to go home when I could manage the stairs with the physio. I’m now at 8 weeks and just seen consultant who is happy with my progress. I can now walk without aids, all be it outside I can use crutch or stick if needed. I feel like I have my life back.
Seeing Mr Yates, after a number of years with pain, has been life changing. Not only professional, as I’d expect, but human and had time for you. Listening to issues and investigating root causes. I highly recommend him as a consultant and more specifically if you’re athletic / sports focussed.
Mr Yates was very thorough and explained everything to me regarding what had happened with my hip. He was kind and genuine and everything was sorted so quickly.
