I was treated by Mr Edward Yates as the expert orthopaedic consultant surgeon and post operatively in the hip strengthening exercise clinic by the ACP Caroline York. I extend my gratitude to them for literally giving me my life back to with the hip replacement. Prior to the operation I was an invalid in severe pain with a poor quality of life. Now post operatively I have a life again, am able to enjoy walking my dog 2-3days each Saturday and Sunday with friends and am still working as a senior academic lecturer and principal supervisor for PhD students, aged 71 years old. I cannot thank Mr Yates enough for his expertise and skill. Thank you Mr Yates, you are a wonderful surgeon. Kind regards, Dr Jenni T.

I was treated by Mr Yates for osteoarthritis in both hips. Left being more severe than right one. He has recommended total hip replacement which I was reluctant to do at first but my pain was getting worse. My operation took place on 2nd March at Spire Macclesfield hospital. All the details of treatment and expectations have been explained to me. The team took great care and hospital staff have been professional and caring. Aftercare has been nothing short of excellent. Mr Yates has been very happy with my progress and so was I. I still use a crutch outside for re-assurance, however, I can walk unaided indoors. Better result than I've expected. Thank you

Mr Yates has been absolutely amazing from day one. Explaining procedures, the operation, any possible problems and his aftercare could not be faulted. A caring, professional specialist in his field. We need more doctors like him. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much Mr Yates.

Being a slightly high risk patient, it was important to me to feel that my consultant had my best interests at heart. My concerns were allayed upon meeting and working with Mr Yates over a six month period.
