Mr Yates Well the whole process from start to Finnish has been fantastic. He has delivered on all fronts my hip replacement has been a total success and has transformed my life the added bonus is I can now live a comfortable lifestyle pain free. From my first appointment Mr Yates was informative and explained all possible outcomes. The operation went very smoothly and I received excellent care from Highfield Hospital. Post operative care and physio arrangements went well and I can thoroughly recommend both both the hospital and especially Mr Yates.

I had left hip replacement September 2025. Been sept 2026 for 12month xray and to see Mr Yates. Everything good and was discharged

From my first meeting to being discharged , I found Mr Yates to be a first class surgeon. He listened to my concerns, asked me how I saw my future and helped me with any worries I had. My operation was a complete success. I have my mobility back , and my scar is hardly noticeable. If , in the future , I need another hip replacement, there is no one I would rather have perform it. A first class surgeon and a lovely human being. He literally changed my life and I can't thank him enough !

I was treated by Mr Edward Yates as the expert orthopaedic consultant surgeon and post operatively in the hip strengthening exercise clinic by the ACP Caroline York. I extend my gratitude to them for literally giving me my life back to with the hip replacement. Prior to the operation I was an invalid in severe pain with a poor quality of life. Now post operatively I have a life again, am able to enjoy walking my dog 2-3days each Saturday and Sunday with friends and am still working as a senior academic lecturer and principal supervisor for PhD students, aged 71 years old. I was treated by Mr Yates for osteoarthritis in both hips. Left being more severe than right one. He has recommended total hip replacement which I was reluctant to do at first but my pain was getting worse. My operation took place on 2nd March at Spire Macclesfield hospital. All the details of treatment and expectations have been explained to me. The team took great care and hospital staff have been professional and caring. Aftercare has been nothing short of excellent. Mr Yates has been very happy with my progress and so was I. I still use a crutch outside for re-assurance, however, I can walk unaided indoors. Better result than I've expected. Thank you
