At the first consultation Mr Powell-Smith explained the condition and procedure in an easy way to understand which I found very reassuring and comforting The operation and after care have been excellent Mr Powell-Smith has an excellent bedside manner and is very caring

Mr Powell Smith was very clear with the options open to me for sorting the ganglion on my thumb. I opted to have it removed which was arranged very quickly and the procedure went ahead. It was a smooth process which he had talked me through beforehand and I am very happy with the result. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Mr Powell Smith.

I have had carpal tunnel decompression surgery on both hands performed by Mr Ed Powell Smith. Both operations have been highly successful and left no visible scarring. Mr Powell Smith has always been very polite, thoughtful and supportive. I would refer to Mr Powell Smith on any future hand and wrist issues.

Mr Powell-Smith performed a Carpal Tuunel Release surgery on my right wrist on 17th June 2026. The overall experience from initial consultation, through surgery and the outcome of the surgery 8 weeks down the line have been nothing short of excellent.

I was very nervous having surgery on my thumb which had swollen to twice its normal size. This was as a result of a thorn. Sadly the NHS were of little help sadly. My care was exceptional, I was put at ease and great care was taken with a full explanation through out the procedure. I have healed beautifully with no scar after 6 weeks, I am delighted with the result. Its was not a pretty sight at the start now back to normal.

He made an unpleasant but necessary procedure much easier .
