About Mr Dimitri Yanni
Mr Dimitri Yanni studied medicine at Guy's Hospital Medical School . Subsequently he trained in Orthopaedics, including trauma, hand, elbow and shoulder surgery on the South East Thames training programme through Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals as well as the peripheral hospitals in the south east where he served both as a registrar and senior registrar.
Mr Yanni did his fellowships at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary Pulvertaft Hand Unit and in a National Orthopaedic Hospital at Cappagh Dublin. He is a founding member of The British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) as well as the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society (EWAS).
During his career, Mr Yanni gained distinctions which include "Surgeon in Training Medal" awarded by the RCS Edinburgh, The BOTATravelling Fellowship and the Rayne Institute Orthopaedic Prize, which he was awarded twice. He was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Bromley Group Hospitals in 1994.
Mr Yanni provides a comprehensive service in shoulder, elbow and hand surgery which includes joint replacements and a strong focus on arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery.

Very friendly gentleman with a manner to put you at ease
My surgeon Mr Yanni very friendly and explained the procedure I was having done very clearly and followed this up with a letter. Procedure went as planned and follow up after care in place.
I was extremely impressed, bot with the attention I received and information I was given. I was particularly surprised that the Mr Dimitri Yanni, provided his e-mail address to contact him if I was uncertain about anything. I did take up this opportunity to clarify on aspect of my aftercare and he responded to my e-mail within 15 minutes.
It was great. The staff are very polite and helpful. They let you know what's happening
I had trigger finger in my index finger and thumb. Mr Yanni successfully operated on my right hand which has fully recovered. He was friendly and chatty helping me to relax. It was a good experience and I am very grateful to him.
I underwent a Needle Fasciotomy for Dupuytrens under the excellent care of Mr Yanni, a lovely gentleman and a consummate professional within his field. He had previously carried out an identical procedure for me and as soon as I knew he was to be my Consultant, I knew I was in very good hands..
This was my second operation with Mr Yanni, as before everything was explained clearly and I was made to feel very comfortable and relaxed. I was also able toshare my experience with other patients to help put them at ease. I will always recomend Mr Yanni - he restored my faith in Doctors/Surgeons!
